Susan Jack, our wonderfully talented writer and comedian, died of lung cancer in March of 2001. She is survived by her mother, Lorna, her two brothers, Louis and David and a husband whom I never met. Before her untimely death, she wrote for People Magazine, did freelance writing and also wrote for television. For several years she did stand-up comedy with a partner. Susan was one of my closest friends in life and I still haven't fully accepted that she's no longer on this earth. I dream of her and fervently hope that we will meet again in some form in another kind of existence, call it heaven or what-you-will. As we say in Hebrew, "Baruch Dayan HaEmet," Blessed is the true Judge.
